Before systems can be changed, their patterns have to be understood. From digital signals I reconstruct the forces behind perception, decision-making and operational processes - and from there derive precise interventions and resilient systems.

I apply the same methodology in strategic consulting and in forensic analysis alike.

Today I work independently as a digital strategist and AI engineer. I reconstruct how markets, user behaviour and AI systems interact - and from that derive what a company should concretely do.

Previously, as Director Digital Strategy Consulting at cyberpromote in Munich, I led engagements for companies such as Microsoft, Allianz, eis.de and the Ehrlich Brothers, with e-commerce revenues growing in some cases a hundredfold.

That experience now comes together in my own ventures: VAREEN, my consulting instrument for digital brand management in AI systems, which combines technical visibility, user behaviour, market environment, trust and AI perception into a single situational picture - and spectralQ.ai, an AI platform that brings together digital signals from more than 25 sources (search behaviour, satellite imagery, air traffic, seismic data, financial markets and more) onto a shared timeline; at its core an autonomous multi-agent system with hypothesis generation and systematic counter-evidence testing.

My work on digital behavioural traces led me early into investigative contexts: collaboration with German law enforcement agencies, including the Hesse State Criminal Police Office (LKA Hessen), and advising ZDF formats such as Terra X History and ZDFzoom. From this fusion of data analysis, strategy and research, six specialist books have emerged, most recently Putins digitale Front ("Putin's Digital Front", Axel Springer, held in the collection of the German Bundestag) and Die kognokrate Gesellschaft ("The Cognocratic Society", 2026).

Three systems. One analytical principle.

Artificial intelligence, digital strategy and forensic analysis cannot be neatly separated - and that is the point. Where they overlap, a distinct instrument emerges each time.

Own Systems & Field Projects

Part of my work happens not within client engagements but in building my own systems. When existing tools fall short, I develop the analysis, control and experimentation environments myself - as operational instruments, research spaces or public experiments.

This is how systems emerge such as VAREEN for analysing how machines perceive brands, spectralQ.ai for forensic situational pictures, ki-agent.org as an educational project that makes artificial intelligence understandable, or tagesalarm.de as an experiment in reconstructing patterns of media manipulation.

They are not side projects but an expression of the same method: make patterns visible, understand systems and from them derive more precise interventions.

Web Development

Independent web developer. Building websites with PHP (later Ruby and Python) and MySQL, graphic and layout design, implementing CMS such as TYPO3 and SilverStripe, MVC frameworks: Yii, Ruby on Rails.

SEO Consulting

Search engine optimization, PHP-based development of optimization tools, account management, website optimization, user analytics and agency consulting.

Analysis of attention and interaction

Collaboration with the mouse-tracking pioneer m-pathy. The first integration of behavioural analysis into an SEO framework - bringing attention analytics into the SEO workflow.
